The Enlit Europe 2024 in Milan was a complete success for Garderos GmbH! We would like to thank all visitors for their great interest in our solutions for critical infrastructures and the diverse application possibilities of our ruggedized routers.

Great interest in durable and flexible network solutions

Our routers with a product lifespan of up to 15 years, which are characterized by high reliability, cybersecurity and easy implementation, were particularly in demand. Our visitors were impressed by the user-friendly commissioning as well as our router management server, which enables efficient, centralized management of large networks.

Another highlight was our virtual RTU (Remote Terminal Unit), which runs in a software container on our routers. It allows seamless integration of Modbus devices and forwarding of data via MQTT or IEC-104 – a solution that is of particular interest to energy suppliers, smart grids and Industry 4.0 applications.

Why is the EUTC so important?

The European Utilities Telecom Council (EUTC) plays a central role in the further development of standards, technologies and political frameworks in the EU. Its goal is to make it easier for utilities to procure reliable, cost-effective and future-proof products and services for smart grids.

This is done through close cooperation with:

• energy suppliers – to identify technical challenges and optimize the network infrastructure
• technology providers – to provide innovative solutions for critical communications networks
• Regulatory authorities at national and EU level – to shape the political framework for the digitalization of the energy sector

Last week Garderos GmbHtook part in the EUTC annual meeting in Brussels. Our colleague Paul Cullen presented Garderos’ innovative router solutions, which were specifically developed for the demanding requirements of smart grids and energy suppliers.
