As part of the energy transition, a leading electricity supplier had to implement new requirements for grid connections, in particular the integration of smart meter gateways (SMGW). The communications infrastructure is based on broadband over powerlines and LTE, whereby the routers used must withstand extreme conditions, support IPv6 and offer the highest level of security.
