Just as our namesake Garderos, son of Poseidon, guards the access to the Mediterranean together with his twin brother Atlas in Greek mythology, Garderos GmbH protects and guards the network of critical infrastructures.
Background and business model:
Garderos GmbH was founded in 2002 as a spin-off of Siemens AG. Until 2008, the company’s purpose was to develop software for hotspot solutions. This was followed by a fundamental reframing of the business as a systems provider for ruggedised router solutions.

Our mission
We develop and sell robust routers with a long product life cycle of at least 15 years, governed by a secure and highly scalable management system. This enables our customers to achieve zero-touch installation and thus easily operate their distributed networks. When programming our software, we attach great importance to compliance with safety standards, cybersecurity and customer-specific requirements. Our aim is to continuously develop our hardware and software platform. We are there for our customers when they need us as a trustworthy long-term partner.

As a hidden champion, Garderos has successfully evolved to become the market leader in the utility sector (electricity, gas, water) in Germany. To further strengthen this position, the company is focusing on innovation and international growth.
To this end, Garderos, with the support of its new investor EMERAM, is investing specifically in new technologies and skilled workers. In 2024, the team was expanded accordingly to drive the development of innovative products and accelerate expansion into new markets.
